Pet Quality Puppy Purchase Agreement
Definitions used herein include:
“Pet quality puppy purchase agreement” shall herein be defined as “Contract”

The buyer hereby agrees to purchase a pet quality (male/female) puppy for the price of $____. Sire: Flyboy‘s Thunder of the Valley AKC# HP15413106 Dam: Halson-Flyboy’s California Honey AKC # HP26094505. Whelped on _______.
$200.00 of the above purchase price is to be considered a deposit for the seller to hold the puppy until a date agreed upon by both parties. The remaining balance of $_______ is to be paid in cash upon delivery of the puppy. This deposit is not refundable unless the seller is unable to furnish the buyer with the agreed upon puppy.
The seller agrees to furnish the buyer with the necessary health information, including all shot and worming records. The buyer understands that this puppy is eligible for full AKC registration with restrictions. (Dog can not be bred). This puppy must be spayed or neutered with proof provided to the seller.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is the dog to be placed in a pet shop, animal shelter, or similar establishment.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is this dog to be used in dog fighting, or similar activities.
This animal is guaranteed as follows:
1. To be in good physical condition for the first 72 hours after the time of delivery. The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours after the delivery time for a complete physical examination. If a veterinarian finds the puppy to have a contagious disease or to be in generally poor physical condition, the seller will (1) replace the puppy with another puppy of comparable quality should the seller own or be able to secure such a dog within a reasonable period of time, (2) refund the full purchase price upon return of the puppy, (3) pay for veterinary expenses involved with restoring the puppy to full health, if the buyer chooses to keep the puppy. Reimbursement for veterinarian expenses is not to exceed the purchase price of the puppy. The choice between replacement, refund, or
veterinary expenses is to be the option of the buyer, and the buyer must inform the seller of his option within 72 hours of the delivery time. The seller reserves the right to a second veterinarian opinion at the expense of the seller, and in the case of payment of veterinary expenses, the seller reserves the right to have the puppy treated by a veterinarian of the seller’s choice. If the puppy is not examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours after delivery time, the above guarantees are no longer in effect.
2. To be free of any inheritable disease that can cause death or serious impairment of vital functions in the puppy until such puppy is four (4) years of age. If such an inheritable disease is documented by the veterinarian and presented to the seller with sufficient supporting evidence, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy of comparable quality. The seller reserves the right to a second veterinarian opinion at the expense of the seller.
3. To be of sound temperament, that is, to be neither so shy nor vicious as to render the dog an unfit companion. This guarantee of temperament is effective only until the dog reaches one year of age, and is contingent upon reasonable proof that any defect in temperament is not the result of lack of proper care or training on the part of the buyer.
The Buyer Agrees:
1. To use the kennel name “Flyboy’s” as the kennel prefix in the registered name of the dog.
2. In the event that the puppy is later sold, or otherwise transferred from the possession of the buyer, for whatever reason, the seller will have the absolute right of first refusal to repossess the puppy. If the buyer can find a suitable alternate home, and if the seller approves of this home, the right to repossess the puppy will be null and void. The buyer must provide contact information including all telephone numbers for the alternate home before the seller approval will be given.
3. To not breed the above puppy, and further agrees to have the puppy spayed or altered when the puppy has reached an appropriate age, as set forth by current veterinarian guidelines. We recommend 12-16 months of age. The buyer understands that if the above puppy is ever bred that none of the puppies will be eligible for AKC registration. The buyer further understands that if the above puppy is ever bred the Seller’s guarantees as outlined above will no longer apply.
The Buyer and Seller Agree:
That this is the full and complete agreement that exists between the parties for the sale of this dog. Any agreements made prior to this are considered incorporated herein and any modifications made to his agreement shall be made in writing or such shall not be effective.

Puppy/Dog Return Policy
Buyer understands that if the puppy is returned after 72 hours all paperwork and the AKC registration will be signed back over to the breeder and the buyer agrees to pay a $200.00 return fee. This fee is for breeder time of replacing puppy/dog, vet care and other unforeseen costs.

Registration means only that the AKC maintains information regarding the parentage and identity of this dog, it does not guarantee the quality or health of this dog, and it does not guarantee quality lineage. Since the dog pedigree registries depend in large part on the honesty and accuracy of persons registering dogs, registration does not guarantee the accuracy of the lineage recorded.
